The local conservation officer supported a contemporary design to replace and extend a Victorian ground floor extension to a large semi-detached house in a conservation area. This consisted of a large flat roofed space with stone external facing and dramatic rooflights. The extension stone floor tiles extended out on the same level to a spacious terrace. A large area of glazed sliding doors with minimal edge sections framed the view of the garden. A small semi-internal courtyard was created between the extension and french doors to the main house rear room which enclosed a small gold fish pool clad in green slate.
